I can't believe another week has been and gone! We have had a busy week in Year 1P with our introduction to money, spaghetti Science and thinking way back to the olden days...the questions about the time before internet have been hilarious!
A few reminders for this week...
Mission Markets
Thank you for all of your donations of popcorn! If you can help with bagging on Wednesday afternoon from 2.15pm, we would love to have you!
This Thursday the children will be taking part in our school feast day known as the Mission Markets. The children are invited to bring $5.00 to spend during the day which will comprise of:
9.30am Mass in the morning at OLOSC church
10.30am Creating a class art work dedicated to Mary
11.45am Year One children invited to participate in the mini fete (we have tried to go sugar free this year so there will hopefully be reduced amounts of chocolate coming home!)
1.30pm The whole school participates in multiage rotations throughout the school comprising of games and activities with different classroom teachers.
If you could please pack a reusable bag for your child to use for the day, that would be very helpful.
DONATIONS FOR YEAR TWO
If you have any old books, toys or knick knacks you would like to donate to the Year Two 'pre loved' stall, please bring them into our wet area and I will ensure they get re-homed for you :)
Bunnings visit
If you would like to come in and help for an hour or so on Wednesday morning, we would love to have you! The lovely Breeanna will be here from 9.30am.
Book week
Book week will be taking place next Friday the 23rd of August. Have a look below for some great ideas for the day. The theme of Book week is Reading is my Super power, but the children are welcome to come as their favourite book character.
Have a lovely week!
