Week 8 Information

Good afternoon parents,

I hope you enjoyed the nice sunny weather on Saturday. It has definitely felt like a cold winters day today. Who would have thought after today's weather that it is the first day of summer tomorrow.

Just a few messages for this week...

EXCURSION - MEELUP

Please ensure you send in your child's permission slip if you haven't already. If you have misplaced your note, please let me know and I can give you another copy.

We still would love some parent helpers to both come with the groups through the rotations and cook a sausage sizzle (from 12.00pm), please let us know if you can help in any capacity and for any amount of time.

HOMEWORK AND LIBRARY FINISHED FOR THE YEAR

As it is nearing the end of term, we have finished our homework grid for the year in order to get through the last couple of busy weeks at school and to reduce workload (and keep your little ones playing and active outside!).  We would really appreciate if you could bring in any home readers or library books you have at home as Mrs. Kemp will be taking a stocktake of the library.

We would also ask you to continue sending your child's reading folder as we will be sending home bundles of work over the next two weeks and the reading folder provides a safe and secure way for these things to be stored.

VINNIE'S APPEAL

A reminder that we are collecting pantry, non perishable items...if you can please have them in by the end of Week 8, we would be very appreciative!

CHRISTMAS CONCERT

The Christmas Concert is taking place next Tuesday 8th December. It commences at 5:30pm, so please ensure that your child is here at 5:15pm. Your child will be  required to attend their classroom by 5:15pm and will walk down as a class, while you can find a nice spot on the hill.

As mentioned in our last school newsletter, the students have been asked to wear Christmas colours to the upcoming concert on Tue 8th December. Can I ask that the Year 1’s dress in bright Christmas colours with hats, antlers etc. for the night, but more information will be coming from Mrs. Horrocks after the musical has finished.

LEAVE

Just a reminder that I will be taking a long service day this Wednesday and next Friday (the last day of school) to attned to wedding appointments and a good friend's wedding that was rescheduled due to COVID. Mrs. Sorgiovanni will be taking the class on both days.

Thankyou for your ongoing support,

Miss Prowse
